The Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur (TASKL) is set to ignite the Malaysian automotive scene once again from August 8 to 10, 2025, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
After attracting over 90,000 visitors in its first two years, TASKL25 is returning with even greater firepower—bringing together legendary Japanese tuners, Malaysia's top car builders, and a thrilling mix of automotive culture, competitions, and collectibles.
KiniTV is proud to be one of the official media partner for TASKL, delivering in-depth coverage and exclusive behind-the-scenes content throughout the event.“There is high expectations placed on Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur as a show that is being held outside of Japan. It has never been our intent to replicate the original show in Japan due to its sheer size and the 42-year legacy it has. Instead, it is to host a show that is unique to Malaysia and the region – one that can seamlessly blend the best of Japanese and Malaysian automotive cultures,” said Jason Yap, Chief Executive Officer And Director Of Element X Strategies.Junichi Fukui, director-general of the Tokyo Auto Salon Federation, said the growing momentum of TASKL has led to new cross-border ventures. “Japanese exhibitors have begun forming business partnerships with Malaysian companies as a result of this event,” he said.
Japanese Legends in the FleshOne of the major highlights of TASKL25 is the rare opportunity for enthusiasts to meet six iconic figures in Japanese tuning history:
Smokey Nagata (Top Secret) – Known for his high-speed builds and iconic GT-R swaps.
Wataru Kato (Liberty Walk) – Master of aggressive wide-body designs.
Isami Amemiya (RE Amemiya) – The rotary tuning guru behind some of the most iconic RX-7 builds.
